1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and measure usage. This Policy also applies to similar technologies (such as local storage, pixels, and tags) used by Yena to the extent they perform comparable functions.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary — required for the Website and Platform to function (for example, to keep you signed in, to submit forms securely). These cookies do not require consent.
- Functional — remember non-essential preferences such as language and theme. Where required by applicable law, we rely on consent; otherwise, on our legitimate interests in providing a consistent user experience.
- Analytics — Google Analytics and PostHog help us understand use of the Website. These existing analytics services are separate from the advertising choice below.
- Marketing — with your permission, Meta Pixel measures advertising and supports relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram; Google Ads measures ad clicks and completed Yena signups. Rejecting marketing keeps Meta Pixel off and blocks our Google advertising cookies and completed-signup conversion.
Meta Pixel may share page addresses, browser/device information, cookie identifiers and the website actions we explicitly track with Meta after acceptance. We do not configure automatic advanced matching or send form values, candidate data or completed-registration events from this website integration. See Meta’s Cookie Policy.
Google Ads uses first-party advertising cookies on yena.ai to connect an ad click on our website to a completed self-service signup in our app, including when signup is completed through an email link in the same browser. Google receives advertising identifiers, browser/network information and a completed-signup event with a random transaction identifier and zero monetary value. We do not configure enhanced conversions, send email addresses, names, workspace identifiers or candidate data, or enable Google ad personalization or remarketing. Existing Meta-only acceptance does not enable our Google advertising cookies or completed-signup conversion: we request a new choice under the updated notice. See Google’s advertising cookie information.
The existing Google Analytics tag may still send cookieless consent-mode measurement signals to Google when marketing is rejected. This tag operates separately from our marketing choice. See Google’s consent-mode guidance.

The exact set may vary slightly over time. We update this table as we add, remove, or change cookies materially.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Advertising controls. Accept or reject marketing in the advertising-cookie notice. You can reopen this choice through the advertising-cookie settings button in every locale’s footer. Withdrawing acceptance stops future explicit Meta events and our Google completed-signup conversion, and clears accessible Meta and Google advertising cookies on our website and the shared yena.ai domain; it does not undo data already received. These advertising controls apply to Meta and Google Ads, separately from the existing Google Analytics and PostHog services.
- Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website or Platform from functioning.
- Opt-out of Google Analytics. You can use Google's browser opt-out add-on in addition to rejecting analytics in our cookie banner.
Your Meta choice is stored in first-party browser storage under yena_marketing_consent_v1. Missing or invalid choices keep Meta Pixel off. If a choice cannot be saved, Meta tracking remains off for that page.
5. International Transfers
Some analytics providers (e.g., Google) may transfer data outside the EEA. Where required, Yena relies on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR and supplementary measures. See the Security page for the current sub-processor list and transfer mechanisms.
6. Your Rights
You may have rights under GDPR and other data-protection laws, including the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, or for any question about this Cookie Policy, contact [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (www.dvi.gov.lv) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page and will be effective as of the stated date. Material changes will be notified through the cookie banner or an in-app notification where reasonably practicable.
