1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and measure usage. This Policy also applies to similar technologies (such as local storage, pixels, and tags) used by Yena to the extent they perform comparable functions.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Website and Platform to function (for example, to keep you signed in, to submit forms securely). These cookies do not require consent.
  • Functional — remember non-essential preferences such as language and theme. Where required by applicable law, we rely on consent; otherwise, on our legitimate interests in providing a consistent user experience.
  • Analytics — help us measure aggregate usage of the Website so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are loaded only after you provide consent in the cookie banner, and can be withdrawn at any time.

Yena does not use cookies for third-party advertising or profiling across other websites.

The exact set may vary slightly over time. We update this table as we add, remove, or change cookies materially.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can manage cookies in several ways:

  • Analytics controls. While your analytics choice is unknown, the Website presents controls to accept or reject analytics. GA4 and PostHog load only after acceptance. Rejection prevents them from loading on future visits, and withdrawing a previous acceptance disables future capture in the current browser. You can reopen these controls at any time through the cookie-preferences link in the footer.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website or Platform from functioning.
  • Opt-out of Google Analytics. You can use Google's browser opt-out add-on in addition to rejecting analytics in our cookie banner.

Your choice is stored in first-party browser storage under the versioned key yena_analytics_consent_v1. If storage is unavailable or the saved value is invalid, Yena treats the choice as unknown and does not load analytics.

5. International Transfers

Some analytics providers (e.g., Google) may transfer data outside the EEA. Where required, Yena relies on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR and supplementary measures. See the Security page for the current sub-processor list and transfer mechanisms.

6. Your Rights

You may have rights under GDPR and other data-protection laws, including the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, or for any question about this Cookie Policy, contact [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (www.dvi.gov.lv) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

7. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page and will be effective as of the stated date. Material changes will be notified through the cookie banner or an in-app notification where reasonably practicable.
